In 2017 Nuclear Emergency Exercise, we are honored to have guests from U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) and Cabinet Office of Japan, American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), French Office In Taipei (FIT), European Economic and Trade Office (EETO), Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association to join the international observer program and observe the exercise.
In order to have more understanding of the objectives of exercise, drill topics, and national emergency response mechanism. AEC hosted a pre-exercise briefing session to present the information of emergency exercise and the response mechanism in Taiwan. After the briefing and discussion session, they also visited AEC's Nuclear Safety Duty Center to get a glimpse of how AEC implementing 24-hour, non-stop surveillance on the safety of Taiwan's nuclear facilities.
The drill has conducted for three days including onsite and full participation exercise. AEC will collect the participant feedback form from all guests, and we’re sure get insight and recommendations from the observers and would help us to develop good practice in the future exercise.
