Date: July 30~August 2, 2018
Venue: 2nd Floor Meeting Room, Radiation Monitoring Center, (RMC)
Attendees: 30 attendees
To improve the knowledge on the theory and application of gamma ray spectroscopy systems for identification and quantification of radionuclides, RMC invited two experts from Japan Chemical Analysis Center (JCAC) to hold a workshop on Sample Radiation Detection and Analysis by gamma ray spectroscopy.
The issues of this workshop mainly included the evaluation of stability, analyses of complicated gamma ray spectra, analysis in nuclear emergency situation and evaluation of uncertainty. More than 30 participants from RMC, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology and National Yang-Ming University attended this workshop. During this workshop, the experts shared their experience on gamma ray spectroscopy. The attendees also discussed with experts about the advanced technology in gamma ray spectroscopy and sample preparation in nuclear emergency situation.
