:::
The Safety Relief Valve Discharge Line (SRVDL) system is designed to direct RCPB (Reactor Coolant Pressure Boundary) abnormal high pressure steam into the suppression pool to maintain the integrity of RCPB.
There are eighteen Safety Relief Valves (SRVs) on Main Steam Lines (MSLs) in Taipower’s Fourth Nuclear Power Plant unit 1. It performs four functions (1) safety function (2) relief function (3) manual function (4) Automatic Depressurization System (only eight SRVs).
There are two vacuum breaker check valves equipped on each discharge line in order to prevent partial vacuum occurred in the discharged line.
Also, there is a quencher setting on the end of each discharged lines.
